Lakeshore Soccer League

Program Overview

The Lakeshore Soccer League is a co-ed soccer program for over 200 kids and youth, with a focus on community and fun!

Since 2013, we have been proud to offer a quality, affordable soccer program, right in the heart of the Etobicoke-Lakeshore community. For a cost of only $50/person, every participant receives a new uniform, a weekly healthy snack (usually oranges), a trophy or medal on the final night, and a soccer ball of their own to keep!

As a Christian youth-serving agency, part of the program includes a “thought of the week,” focused on themes like caring for others, belonging, and being a positive example to our friends. These are inspired by our Christian faith and often include bible stories.

Now entering our 11th season, we regularly receive feedback from parents and community partners about the incredible culture and heart of the program, and the positive impact it has on their kids both on and off the field.

Tuesday overview

Players should arrive 15 minutes early, and have their parent/guardian sign them in with their coaches.

The games are 2 x 35 minute halves, plus a stoppage for water at half-time. We break every 5-6 minutes for player substitutions.

Each team will have 9 players on the field at a time (8 plus a goalie).

After every game, teams will gather with their coaches on the side grass area for 5-10 minutes, for the thought of the week. We will also provide every player with a healthy snack to eat during this time (usually oranges).

Note: There are no practices as part of our program, but every participant gets their own soccer ball with registration!

Age Divisions

New for 2024, we are making changes to the age divisions. Players will now be grouped by their year of birth, and we are also splitting the oldest division into two. Here’s the breakdown:

Junior Division - Born 2016-2018
Intermediate Division - Born 2014-2015
Senior Division - Born 2012-2013

Youth Volunteers (Ages 13-19)

We offer a unique volunteer opportunity for High School students every summer, as part of our Leaders in Training Program. Under the supervision of staff and volunteer coaches, youth participants are invited to help as Jr. coaches and referees in the Lakeshore Soccer League, gaining practical leadership experience and volunteer hours. For more information, click here or see the youth tab at the top of the page.
