NEW - Older Division

We are excited to announce a new division for older players (born 2012-2013)!

This will run exactly like the Lakeshore Soccer League kids program, except that it is on Monday nights.

Games for this division will be at 5:30pm every Monday at Ken Cox, with some exceptions (e.g. August long weekend). A more detailed schedule will be available closer to the summer.

Note: You can still register for the LIT Program as well, because these are on separate days.

Program Overview

The Lakeshore Soccer League is a fun, welcoming, and affordable community soccer program for kids and youth in South Etobicoke.

For just $50, all 300 participants enjoy a full summer of soccer fun - including games every week, a new uniform, a weekly healthy snack (usually oranges), and a trophy or medal on the final night of the season.

As a Christian youth-serving organization, we also include a short “Thought of the Week.” These moments focus on values like welcoming others, caring for those in need, and being a positive example in our community. They are inspired by our faith and often include stories from the Bible, while remaining accessible and meaningful for all participants.

Now in our 13th season, we consistently receive encouraging feedback from parents and community partners about the program’s positive, welcoming culture and the impact it has on kids - both on and off the field.

We hope you can join us on the field this summer!

Dates & LOcation

The Lakeshore Soccer League runs at the Ken Cox Community Center (Father Redmond).

Important: Due to the unique calendar this year, our schedule is slightly different from past seasons. Typically, the Lakeshore Soccer League runs in July and August (which is easy to remember!). But our first night this summer will be in June:

First Night - Monday, June 29th
Final Games - Monday, August 24th

game Times

Please note that the teams in the intermediate division play at either 5:30pm or 7pm each week.

Junior Division - 5:30pm
Intermediate Division - 5:30pm & 7pm
Senior Division - 7pm

New Older Division - 5:30pm (Mondays)

what to expect each week

Players should arrive 15 minutes early, and have their parent/guardian sign them in with their coaches.

The games are 2 x 35 minute halves, plus a stoppage for water at half-time. Unique to our program, the referees stop play every 5-6 minutes for player substitutions, so that everyone gets even playing time.

Each team will have 9 players on the field at a time (8 plus a goalie).

After every game, teams will gather with their coaches on the side grass area for 10 minutes, for the thought of the week. We will also provide every player with a healthy snack to eat during this time (usually oranges).

payment

The cost for the season is $50/person. Payment takes place in person, at a later date.

Youth Volunteers (Ages 13-19)

We offer a unique volunteer opportunity for High School students every summer, as part of our Leaders in Training Program.

Under the supervision of staff and volunteer coaches, participants are invited to help as Jr. coaches and referees in the Lakeshore Soccer League, gaining practical leadership experience and volunteer hours.
