about us
The Lakeshore Soccer League is a program of Youth Unlimited (Toronto YFC).
We began in 2013, with a heart to provide families in South Etobicoke with a fun, welcoming, and affordable league - right in the heart of the community. Every summer since then, over 250 kids and youth have taken part!
Since 2015, we have also added a year-round soccer drop-in for high school students, summer camps, and other opportunities for youth mentorship, volunteer work, and family support.
As a Christian youth organization, we believe we are created to invest ourselves in community—to give, grow, and serve alongside others. We’re deeply grateful for the impact these programs have had in South Etobicoke over the years, and for all we’ve learned from the many families who have taken part, helping this become a truly meaningful program in our corner of the city.
Thank you as well to the many organizations, schools, businesses, churches, families, and individuals who have helped make this possible year after year. Because of your partnership and support, we can continue providing fun, welcoming, and affordable programs to hundreds of kids and youth here in our South Etobicoke community.
about Youth unlimited
For more than 70 years, Youth Unlimited (Toronto YFC) has been passionate about seeing young people attain their full-life potential. This is rooted in our Christian faith, inspiring us to serve youth in all corners of our city.
In the 1980s, the strategic decision was made to work primarily with youth coming from places vulnerable to poverty, violence, gang involvement, family breakdown, and spiritual impoverishment.
Today, we are working in neighbourhoods all over the Greater Toronto Area with youth coming from diverse backgrounds and facing unique challenges. Our hope is that by cultivating relationships with caring adults who will mentor and cheer them on, they will be able to bring about positive change to our city – both now and in the future.
